With so many nurseries in the area you may ask what’s so special about Yellow Penguin and why should you send your child to our nursery
Our primary aim is to provide high quality childcare that encourages children to develop socially, intellectually, and physically in a fun, safe, and stimulating environment.
We also have particular expertise and experience in dealing with children for whom English is an Additional Language (EAL), as well as children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Value for Money
We provide parents are carers with a reliable childcare service that they can trust, while also offering the best value-for-money nursery in the area. We strive to keep our prices low while maintaining a high level of service.
Custom Designed Premises
Unlike most nurseries, we have newly-renovated premises that have been purposely-designed with children in mind.
Our rooms are bright, spacious, and welcoming spaces that allow children the freedom to learn, explore, express themselves, and interact and build relationships with staff and other children.
Each child has a named key person who will offer a consistent and nurturing relationship for your child. The key person will find out from you your child’s routine, likes and dislikes in order to make sure your child’s care is tailored to their individual needs.
Plenty of Attention
Your child will receive plenty of attention, affection, supervision and encouragement in our care. Messy play, singing and nursery rhymes, outdoor play, role-play, dressing up, stories, fun and laughter are the order of the day, however, we recognise the importance of times when children are tired and need to sleep or relax.
Track Your Child’s Progress
All parents receive a daily update detailing what their child has done during the day. Parents are invited to discuss their child’s progress and development with the nursery staff at our parent’s evenings, which take place twice a year. However, we also informally discuss your child’s progress as often as possible.
Outdoor play area with canopy, climbing wall, water play, mud kitchen, and open space provide the children with lots of space to explore and use their imagination to develop their skills.
Flexibility – we understand that parents have different schedules. Where possible we look to offer flexible booking patterns and a range of funding options, including the government funded hours.
Convenient Location – just off Hagley Road close to the city centre and the ring road with ample parking and excellent public transport links
Parking is available in our own private car park 50 yards away for up to 20 cars. There is also free on-street parking outside the front entrance
Real World Activities
We use “real world” activities such as cooking, gardening, vegetable growing, technology, and construction to develop confident inquisitive children.
Equal Opportunity Policy
We operate an equal opportunity policy and will not discriminate. Each child will be treated as an individual regardless ability or background.
